• OUR FARM

Horton Farms is family farm in Western Kansas. The name “Horton” derives from Old English horu ‘dirt’ and tun ‘settlement, farm, estate’, meaning roughly ‘farm on muddy soil’, so it could be said that farming is in our blood.

In western Kansas we may not always have muddy soil, but by using the latest in cutting-edge technology and farming practices we strive to increase the productivity of the land along with its profitability. Horton Farms strives to ensure that the ground we farm will remain productive long into the future. We accomplish this by using no-till, conditioned manure, and regular soil sampling to ensure that our farm is not only profitable but sustainable for generations to come.
